Lori Gaglione - Disability AttorneyLori Gaglione

Lori Gaglione is a Jacksonville native who grew up in the Ft. Caroline area graduating from Terry Parker High School in 1983. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1987 and continued her education at The University of Florida Levin College of Law, receiving her law degree in 1990. As a young attorney, she began handling Social Security Disability claims in 1993 for the firm where she was employed and decided it was her calling in life. She opened a solo practice in 1996 specializing in disability claims. Jessica Dumas later joined her in 2000 and Gaglione and Dumas was born.

Lori is an active member of the Jacksonville Beach Bar Association and the Jacksonville Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR) and National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA). She is admitted to practice in the Middle District Court of Florida, United States Supreme Court and U.S Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. 

Lori has made the Jacksonville Beaches her home since returning from college in 1990. She is active in her community and currently chairs the Atlantic Beach Cultural Arts and Recreation Advisory Committee.

Jessica Dumas - Disability AttorneyJessica Dumas

Jessica Dumas originally hails from Alexandria, Virginia but moved to Florida during her high school years, graduating from Largo High School in 1985. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 1989 and then attended St. Louis University School of Law, receiving her law degree in 1992. Ms. Dumas began representing Social Security Disability claimants during a law school internship and enjoyed it so much it became her chosen career path. She began representing claimants in 1993 and had many years’ experience before deciding to join forces with Ms. Gaglione.

Jessica is an active member of the Jacksonville Beach Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR). She has chaired the Jacksonville Bar Association Social Security Committee for the past three years. She is admitted to practice in the Middle District Court of Florida and the United States Supreme Court. Jessica has made the Jacksonville Beaches her home since returning from college in 1992.

Our Staff

Lynn GaglioneLynn Gaglione-Papile, Office Manager

Lynn is a Jacksonville native, and before joining Gaglione & Dumas in 2002, she worked for US Airways for sixteen years. Lynn manages the day to day operations of the office as well as being diligent in following up to make sure our clients are receiving the proper benefits once we win their case. She brings loyalty, organization and humor to our family- oriented firm. She is an avid beach lover, world traveller and fitness enthusiast.

Sharntrel McKeverSharntrel McKever, Receptionist/Legal Assistant

Sharntrel has been with Gaglione & Dumas since 2002. She is the first point of contact with clients. She is committed to providing the best customer service possible to our clients. Prior to coming to our firm, Sharntrel was with Independent Life Insurance for twenty-five years. She is very active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family and grandson.

Meka Smith-TeasdellMeka Smith-Teasdell, Paralegal 

Born in Georgia to a military family, Meka traveled the world before settling in Jacksonville in 1999. She earned an Associates in Science Degree and Paralegal Certificate from Florida Community College of Jacksonville and is currently attending The University of Phoenix for her Bachelor’s Degree in Science. As the paralegal to the firm since 2004, Meka excels at preparing cases for hearings. Meka is a dedicated mother of two wonderful children and is very active in her church.

Christina CummingsChristina Cummings, Paralegal

Since 2006, Christina has served as a firm paralegal who also prepares cases for hearing. She works diligently for a positive outcome in each and every case. Prior to joining the firm she worked as a medical transciptionist for many years. In addition to her legal skills, Christy is an avid cat-lover and a community advocate for homeless animals; she volunteers her time to take local strays to be spayed and neutered.

Adam JeterAdam Jeter, Legal Assistant

Adam has been with the firm since 2004, his Senior year at Fletcher High School. After several years of study at the University of North Florida, Adam decided to pursue a career in the legal field. He works as a legal assistant. Adam is diligent at helping the paralegals prepare cases for hearing by tracking down, organizing and submitting medical records and other important information to help our clients win their claims.

Linda A. CardLinda A. Card, CP, Paralegal

Linda has served as a paralegal for more than twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in Legal Studies and she is a Certified Paralegal through The National Association of Legal Assistants. She joined Gaglione & Dumas in 2009 where she works as a client liason and case manager. She reviews all cases quarterly, monitors all appeals, consults with clients and prepares claims for the attorneys' review. She enjoys crafts, scrapbooking and reading, and she treasures spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Michelle FriednerMichelle Friedner, Legal Assistant

Michelle recently enjoyed her one year anniversary with the firm. She is currently attending the paralegal program at Florida State College of Jacksonville. Before joining Gaglione & Dumas, she worked for seven years in the medical records department at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She conducts initial client interviews and helps clients to complete required forms. She spends her spare time swimming, hitting the beach and enjoying time with her husband and three children.

Jennifer PlessJennifer Pless, Legal Assistant

Jennifer is the newest member of Gaglione and Dumas, where she works as a receptionist and office assistant. Jennifer is also a student in Florida State College at Jacksonville’s paralegal program. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, and her family has been active in the business community here for many years. Jennifer spends her spare time with her family and friends; she enjoys reading, traveling and going to the beach.
